I've periodically posted that most "financial lifestyle" magazines focus most of their "real people" articles on young families with children, being short on singles and empty nesters/retirees .. compared to statistics.
So I was very happy to start perusing the January/February 2012 issue, and find this breakdown in their "Five Families, Five Fixes" article:
- 40+ couple w/2 children
- Couple 56 & 60 on retirement finances
- Single 30-something professional
- 50+ couple w/2 children
- Couple 59 & 63, retired
What finance magazines do you read regularly or periodically? Do they have articles about "people like you"?
