I will be arriving about 9:30 p.m. 9/2 at BWI (Baltimore). I'm looking for people arriving near that time to share a supershuttle to dc convention center area hotels. We have to reserve together w/same hotel destination and instead of paying $36. each, w/fuel surcharge, it's only $13. for each additional person. So, for 2, that's only $24.50 each, for 3, only $20.66 each, etc. .
Jeannie from CA
The B30 Metrobus is the least expensive way to get to DC from BWI. It costs $3.10 each way and the buses are 40 minutes apart, so you don't have to wait too long. There are two stops at BWI. Stop 1 is at Southwest/Delta and Stop 2 is for all other domestic and international airlines. You can find schedule info etc at the Metrobus website at www.wmata.com
The B30 bus will take you to the Greenbelt Metro Station, and from there you board the Metrorail system which is a train that goes all over the DC area. Again, info on Metrorail is at www.wmata.com The same company runs the buses and the trains. Whatever you do, I recommend that you not rent a car. Parking is tough in DC.
From Dulles Airport to get to DC you can take the 5A Metrobus. It goes to the Rosslyn and L'Enfant Plaza Metrorail stations. Once you're on Metrorail you can go all over the DC area pretty inexpensively.
