I'm really looking forward to this one! After all we've waited 7 years to get to New Orleans. It's gonna be worth it!
Instead of AARP tours, we've scheduled with NOLA Tour Center because of time constraints. I couldn't fit the tours we wanted into the AARP tour schedule. This way, we got both a super city tour, and a cemetary tour in one, first thing. That's Wednesday morning. I'm hoping to find a good lunch spot while we're on the tour, and Mother's for dinner that night.
We volunteer at the convention site the next morning--and sign up for the 2013 Life @50+ event--then maybe take the streetcar for lunch at Central Grocery and Market, topped off with some coffee at Cafe du Monde--and back for the Exhibit opening at 3:00.
The opening event comes on Friday this year, followed by some "Movies for Grownups", feature sessions, and just a little bit more time at Exhibits. Saturday is "wind-down" , but there are still sessions we can't miss, more "Movies for Grownups", and an hour or two before closing is a great time for hand-outs and give-aways at Exhibits.
Hate to have it end, but I'm already excited about Savannah--a good change, 'cause we have done Las Vegas a lot! Have you been working on a New Orleans schedule too? Feel like sharing your plans? I'm sure open for changes for something extra special.
Just 30 days--and counting. . . .
