Has anyone had the experience where through their genealogy research they located a relative in another country with whom they do not speak the same language? How did you go about contacting them and communicating? And, how were you received when you contacted them? Any wise advice you wish to share on this topic will be appreciated. Thank you.
Thanks Bob for your advice. I haven't tried babblefish.com but will give it a try. I was also thinking of trying our local state university to see if there are students who speak the language and are willing to translate. And, if we continue to correspond, maybe I will just have to learn their language. I do speak a second language but they do not speak the second one I speak, and I do not speak the other three languages they speak....isn't that lovely! I appreciate your feedback. Cheers!
