GREAT PBS PROGRAMMING
Week of October 4 – 10, 2009
Last week began with the Ken Burns six-episode series: The National Parks: America 's Best Idea. It was an excellent series. I hope you will participate in discussing this series by sharing your experiences while visiting the National Parks you enjoyed most.
And now the regular line of programming will begin with another episode of Inspector Lewis on MASTERPIECE MYSTERY Sunday evening preceded by NATURE, which explores the world of super crocodiles. Most premiers of your favorite programs, which includes AMERICAN EXPERIENCE, FRONTLINE, NATURE, and NOVA will begin later this month. Please check you local stations for dates of upcoming broadcasts.
Meanwhile, you’ll have the opportunity to see encores featuring many of your favorite programs that you may of missed. Also, you can watched missed episodes of many programs on PBS VIDEO, which is updated frequently.
Finally, tune in each weeknight for the latest national and international news on THE NEWS HOUR WITH JIM LEHRER. And for the weeks summary of national politics, please tune in and watch WASHINGTON WEEK IN REVIEW with Gwen Ifill. For late night programming, tune in on TAVIS SMILEY. Then watch CHARLIE ROSE as he discusses an array of topics with the great minds in politics, finance, journalism, science, the arts, and popular culture.
Have a great week.
Couldn't really get into the National Parks series, maybe my expectations were too high or a little peeved at PBS because my Antiques Roadshow wasn't on last Monday, LOL.
