I am in favor of green energy programs as long as they are planned and implemented correctly. Obama's previous green energy programs (Solyndra, First Solar, the Chevrolet Volt) have been a complete bust!
According to Bloomberg News even with the losses from Solyndra, the default rate for the DOE’s loans to solar, wind and bio-energy projects is less than 3.6 percent, less than a third of what the White House anticipated. So you're still using these Reichwinger "lemon picking" strategies — choosing a few sour specifics to give a misleading picture of the larger reality. And you're straining facts and misquoting a leading investigator as well.

These programs will help us become independent of crude oil shipped from the Middle East.
However, I don't want to see us make the same foolish mistakes Germany has made.
Germany made no mistake - if they had, they'd have fixed it and moved on, unlike Regressives who insist we never advance as that upsets their owners in Big Carbon.
Let's be clear here. There is nothing wrong with the march towards renewable and cleaner energy. The problem is how the programs to produce it have been implemented.
