In Response to Re: Catholic "Rules".......Where Did They Come From?:
Jesus did name Peter as head of the ChurchPosted by rker321
Where did he specifically say that? The passages I posted from Acts says that upon the rock of what Peter said, he would build his church, and he would give him the keys to his kingdom. He also said in the Bible that his kingdom wasn't of this world. That should say something about a palace in Rome as head of the Church shouldn't it?
Have you studied the New Testament about the foundation of the Church? And what about history of the evolution of the Catholic Church?

Tx, as you well know, Catholics don't read the Bible, I never have. I am just stating what it was told to me in Cathequisim by the nuns in school. Frankly, I have never read the foundation of the Church or study it. and frankly, have not found it necessary to study the evolution either.
Religions are personal to all of us. I don't try to nitpick on what they say, and frankly, is not interesting to me.
So, in reality, i am probably the least qualified to answer questions regarding any religion for that matter.
That type of conversation should be had, with individuals that are knowledgeable on the subject of religion.
