Ok, that was the hope of many when he was elected the post racial president.
Would you say obama has done a good job in improving race relations.
We often here the media, and some here, ask, "If Trayvon Martin was white, would he still be alive today?" That's a fair and reasonable question. But suppose Zimmerman was a black neighborhood watch volunteer...carrying a loaded gun, would Trayvon had assaulted Zimmerman if the same preceeding events had occured? We know he wouldn't have referred to Zimmerman as "crazy-a$$ cracker. Would he had assumed Zimmerman was "packing"? Would he had handled the question, "what are you doing here" differently? Would Martin be alive today?
This country certainly has race issues, you can read the hate here almost everyday. It IS important we address them for our society's sake and for the betterment of our country, but there is very little balance to the discussion and do we really need the media fueling the fire? The media can be a very valuable facilitator to this discussion, but how about some real and balanced reporting.

The only reason that we are speaking about this for such a long time is because of Obama, believe it or not, Having a black President has stirred lots of fuel regarding race in this country. We see things now with different lenses than years ago. And channeling race into practically everything has become a national pastime.
