In Response to Re: Virtual President:
Hate to be the wet blanket in this bizarre male bonding name calling fest but do any of you realize how utterly childish your posts read? Not since my kids were in kindergarten have I viewed such childish behavior. Good Lord! Are there no mature minds among men these days or have they all gone zooey from lack of proper oxygen...Grow up...your diapers are reeking and muddy.

Grow up? Consider that "grown up" is not a level that conservatives have ever been capable of operating at. The closest conservatives come to "grown up" is a somewhat adolescent sophomoric pseudo intellectual pretense of maturity - not unlike the rather clever pseudo sanity of some mental illnesses that hide behind multiple layers of facile verbal rationalizations.
I don't at all mind getting down in the mud and wrestling with the barnyard animal equivalent of my species. As a matter of fact I rather enjoy it at times.
I tried being "grown up" once. Like a cheap suit, it was a lousy fit. I successfully parented twelve kids and two grandkids, all of whom have bothered to say that in retrospect I did well, and felt that the fact that I was NOT "all grown up and adult" made me a much better parent. Worked out fine for me.
I very much enjoy Opera, especially the current resurrections of baroque Operas with countertenors singing what were originally castrati roles. Last year there was a production of Leonardo Vinci's (no, not the artist/sculptor) "Artaserse" that has a collection most of the worlds best countertenors singing incredibly florid vocal lines with punishing tessituras. I got to attend a performance of the Met's production of Handel's "Gulio Cesare" with David Daniels in the countertenor role of Cesare.
And yet I enjoy bandying juvenile insults about with not completely evolved conservatives, and whenever possible pushing their faces down into their own BS.
We each have our own style and personality to embrace, cherish and enjoy.
Nope I'm not really a grown up - having been one once, I hope to never again suffer such a fate.
