The only trouble with this is that private insurer holders will be stuck also paying for the public option through higher taxes and with cuts in Senior`s medicare ,that`s why it will fail.
I think we really have to look at what insurance companies are MA providers. In my case, unless it changes again, it will be Cigna. And although they certainly have several thousand retired AT&T (for example) employees, their primary income is from the current AT&T employees who are also healthier, thus very little expense. I'm willing to bet that MA providers Cigna, BC/BS and Humana at least will be well compensated by the grading system.
