All politicians (like many of us) think of themselves first. It's a naturally human survival instinct. Despite the Dems posturing with such asinine statements that those speaking out against the bill as currently proposed are fake, are pair for pawns of special interests (yeah, like the liberals don't have ACORN, the SEIU, HCan, etc., etc.) and don’t represent the rest of America (despite ALL the polls to the contrary, they have to be losing a lot of sleep lately worrying that maybe a growing number of their past voters are going to give them the boot at the next election cycle (which they will), and you are about to witness massive backpedaling a spin put out where they claim they never really were that insistent on a socialistic single-payer system. In other words, they'll remain typical politicians willing to sell out on a belief just to be reelected so they can live of off tax payer money a-instead of having to find their first real 9-to-5 job.
I just love watching the 180's by the Obama koolaid drinkers. Everytime Obama changes a campaign promise suddenly they seem to have forgotten that they ever spoke out in favor of what he said 8+ months ago.
Like the promise of no lobbyists. They were all for it when he said it as a candidate, and then when he broke his promise it was all "well you have to hire ex-lobbyists to do things in DC". Or my favorite, 'he's pragmatic" when he breaks his campaign promises.
But this one is going to be real funny because he's going to have to do some real tap dancing to make this one sound like a victory. In fact it's already started on this board.
