11 and counting - it is still on going this swine flu - 50's died. Just like the VA doctor told me - the swine flu produces complications. Just like my hubby and his friends at work - later 50's and early 60's had this - don't believe everything you hear that this is only a youth and up to 30's problem.
The publicity was necessary in order to try and stop the spread of the Swine-Flu and wasn't meant to cause PANIC as there are flu-epidemics every year. It is said it will be back again in the fall.
There is nothing wrong with warning people to wash-their-hands. .
An ongoing problem are actually Staph skin infections including MRSA, generally start as small red bumps that resemble pimples, boils or spider bites. These can quickly turn into deep, painful abscesses that require surgical draining. Sometimes the bacteria remain confined to the skin. But they can also penetrate into the body, causing potentially life-threatening infections in bones, joints, surgical wounds, the bloodstream, heart valves and lungs.
