AB962, sponsored by Assembly Member Kevin De Leon (D-45), is in the Assembly Committee on Appropriations.
AB962 would make it a crime to privately transfer more than 50 rounds of ammunition per month, even between family and friends, unless you are registered as a “handgun ammunition vendor” in the Department of Justice’s database. Ammunition retailers would have to be licensed and store ammunition in such a manner that it would be inaccessible to purchasers. The bill would also require purchasers submit to fingerprinting, which would be submitted to the Department of Justice. Lastly, mail order ammunition sales would be prohibited.
SB585 is currently in the Senate Appropriations Committee. Introduced by State Senator Mark Leno (D-3), SB585 would prohibit the sale of firearms and ammunition on the property or inside the buildings that comprise the Cow Palace. In short, SB585 is a stepping-stone to banning gun shows on all publicly-owned property in California. Please contact the members of the Assembly and Senate Appropriations Committees and respectfully urge them to oppose AB962 and SB585. Contact information for the committees can be found below.

This is really bad since bills risen in California will explode elsewhere in the United States. It is bad for hunters, who in Wisconsin go hunting each year to supply their families each year with enough meat for winter and when have enough will give to friends. We are the ones receiving some of that great meat every other year. It is going to be a hardship for those families and friends and at some point will be bad for if you have a over abundance of deer it could cause problems in those areas.
They want to take your rights and freedom of choice away from you, starting with smoking, now guns, what is next after that and after that? So on and so forth.
YOu know that only people who will have guns after they take away ours, is the Terrorists and the Bad guys, who will love to see people without guns. They see people not defending themselves, they will kill and not think anything of it and the police will do nothing about it for they never get to where they are in time to defend a person as they lie dying on the ground. Anyone who lets the bad guy win is a wimp and anyone who doesn't defend themselves or their family from those among us who torment or threaten with a gun deserves what happens to them.
Just like this election - you deserve what happens to you when you don't want to defend this Nation or our freedoms and rights in this country and those who died before us - must be rolling in their graves seeing what is happening in the United States right now.
