Closing of the Northwest Passage a sign of global cooling??? Here's what Wikipedia has on The Northwest Passage:
The Northwest Passage is a sea route through the Arctic Ocean, along the northern coast of North America via waterways amidst the Canadian Arctic Archipelago, connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The various islands of the archipelago are separated from one another and the Canadian mainland by a series of Arctic waterways collectively known as the Northwest Passages or Northwestern Passages.
Sought by explorers for centuries as a possible trade route, it was first navigated by in 1903–1906. Until 2009, the Arctic pack ice prevented regular marine shipping throughout most of the year, but climate change has reduced the pack ice, and this Arctic shrinkage made the waterways more navigable.
So there was NO "NW Passage" until 2009, and last year, it once again became impassable for a part of the year, and THIS is what the loony Reichwingers accept as "proof" that a couple thousand other studies are WRONG and we should all be ashamed of wanting to keep BigCarbon and the KochBros from totally screwing the Planet????
No wonder these kooks still believe jrbush had a legitimate reason to go to war with Iraq.- their beliefs are entirely dependant on what the Uberrich TELL them to believe, so logic and facts have no place in their pristine deliberations.
