Perhaps labeling as 'secret body of law' or 'secret law' might be incorrect, but more correctly the way the laws are applied. There does seem to be a lack of oversight on the part of Congress, as we see by the insistence and unwavering support of Senator Feinstein, for instance, of the NSA. That, and now we have the admission of Clapper that he didn't 'exactly tell the truth' regarding the surveillance and collection of information on Americans. But like any government agency, there will always be the tendency to over-interpret laws. Congress is supposed to represent us and not the bureacracy, but we know different.
There has been many good lively [and more civil], thorough discussions of NSA, the revealing of their databases on Americans, etc. over on Democratic Underground on a continuing basis, and with links. Different sides of the 'argument' are presented. I say this as that site is a good reference for many discussions here.

Of course Senator Feinstein supports the NSA...she's the Chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee! Which means she has more information about the program then anyone here on this forum, or the Democratic Underground as well. It's interesting that she's such the darling of Liberals, yet they don't trust her on this issue. LMAO!

And you're right about the Democratic Underground...interesting site....there quite frequently. And ya know? Maybe I've missed it, but I've never seen a childish fool demand to know what another posters credentials were. Have you?
