Thanks, Quackers. I'm afraid I'm not familiar with creating filters in my email program, or with Firefox's Thunderbird. I use Yahoo mail through Verizon. Is it possible to use this filter with Yahoo? How do I get the filter? Is it something I install?
Have they done away with the old Community Help forum, or is it still possible to access it? Do you have a URL?
Sorry for all the questions, but this is driving me nuts!

In Response to Does Anyone Know How to Stop AARP emails to My Inbox?:
Right now I am getting more spam from AARP than any other source. Today I had to delete about 80 such emails, almost all of them messages about posts to various threads on this forum. This is very annoying.
Does anyone know how to stop these automatic alerts from AARP? Also, is there still a Community Help forum on this site? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks for your help.

Cat, this was driving me crazy too. My solution was to create a filter in my email program (I use Firefox's Thunderbird) that catches everything from AARP and sends it to the trash folder. If there would happen to be something from them I actually want, I can see it before emptying the folder. It's been great to get rid of the zillions of unwanted crap emails alerting me to everything uttered here, and creating the filter was a snap, even for me. Others may have better methods, but that was mine.
