Why yes, having a parent that died in a war does not make anyone a patriot, because choosing a parent of relative is not something anyone can will themselves to do. One cannot say "I hereby will that my father or uncle died at Guadalcanal or Anzio and *poof* have that happen.
I say that complaining about high taxes is not a patriotic act. The original Boston Tea Party was about British Domination, not more expensive tea. If you do some research, you will see that AFTER the British imposed a tax, which was intended to pay for the expenditures of the French and Indian War, the actual price of tea was LOWER.
The teabaggers do not recognize the reality that taxes with Obama were LOWER. This movement resembles George Wallace's American Independent Party, in that they want to return to the "good old days", which were not, by the way, all that good for even them, and were considerably worse for the Black minority. And yeas, jmbs and Mbaker do resemble the opinions of the Tea Party: they are irrationally opposed to the Administration, they favor the economic domination of a small wealthy elite that they will almost certainly never belong to, and they are anti-minority.
