In Response to Re: Zimmerman in Trouble Again Because of Guns:
I would not like it, and I would probably feel the way the boy's father feels now.
But my son would not have ever been in that situation in the first place!
First, as a responsible parent, I would have been home with my son and would not have left him home alone with his little brother.
Second, I would have walked to the store with him, or I would have driven him to the store and waited for him in the car while he went inside.
Trayvon's father is as much to blame for this terrible incident as is George Zimmerman.
If he had been home with his son, instead of out with his girlfriend (he and his wife were still married but separated by the way), this incident would never have happened!

A father having to walk with his 17 year old son a short distance to a convenience store? At 17 I was in the Air Force completely away from home.
How old does a kid have to be before they can take care of themselves? Many boys at age 17 are out later at night without problems.
At least the father was responsible and left his 17 year old son watching his little brother.
