As someone with a relative in a Big Oil state, I do understand it. These Big Oil moguls have the people in their Big Oil states scared silly that the minute Big Oil disappears, their lives are over. Is this the USA? Where Yankee ingenuity built hi-tech road systems, amazing bridges and contributed to the Industrial Age?
The reality is that right now, these people who work for Big Oil are nothing more than hostages of an industry that will dump them like yesterday's fish dinner the minute the fossil fuels run out. If this is the perception they have of their own self-reliance and resourcefulness, it's no surprise that they cling to Big Oil by their fingertips like it was their last day on the planet. Pity these fools.
NJ's pollution has been reduced by 11% according to our state NJDEP where the carbon fuels from gasoline is concerned. That's because in my state we are not willing to fall prey to the hostage takers of Big Oil and are willing, dare even, to think outside the box Big Oil wants every paying gasoline and home heating oil user to be imprisoned in.
I love the sight of so many solar panels on homes and buildings. I've worked in a total solar building for nearly 7 years...It's cleaner and there is ZERO difference in the temperature controlled building than when it was relying on natural gas.
