Why is it that the Reichwingers attempt to disguise their hatred for workers by claiming that whatever benefits workers must harm employers? If the cost of oil goes up, the business is going to suffer economically because the cost of just about everything else will also increase. If the business is to survive, those cost increases must be compensated for by decreasing unit cost elsewhere, and one way is through improved productivity. You do not incentivize workers by screwing them - the good ones will go elsewhere if their hours are cut, the ones remaining will be less productive and the business gains nada.
Then there's that dreaded solution the Reich seems to be unaware of - increasing prices to cover the extra costs, and in this case, doing so in the short run is going to attract more productive workers in the longer run and benefit business. But sadly the RW must follow their dogma and only make assumptions that involve workers being total dolts who just show up for a paycheck and otherwise have no commitment to the business because they did not borrow other peoples money to start (and continue) said business.
