No one called for Timothy McVeigh to be tried by a military commission. No one called for the shooter in Tuscon to be tried by a military commission. And there has been no calls for the Denver shooter to be tried by a military commission. No one said that they should be denied any right that is guaranteed by the Constitution. What is the difference?
They were native born, Christian Americans.

In McVeigh's case, in 1995 the Tea Party wasn't at the wheel of the GOP spouting this sort of rubbish. To be sure, they were nutty back then too (aka impeaching Clinton), but not like they are now with stunts such as the debt ceiling debacle etc. Otherwise, you are spot on.
