Practically no one gets paid by the government except unemployment benefits (which means they had to have been employed) or ADC (Aid to Dependent Children), which means they have children to look after. Perhaps people would have fewer children if they were not banned from getting an abortion, because of right wingers.
I did not say that some Wal*Mart workers do not want part time jobs: the point is that Wal*Mart offers only part time work to those who want full time work, deliberately to avoid having to pay for holidays, health insurance, vacation time and other benefits.
Why is it that "Know" days it takes two people to earn a living? Have you ever thought about that? Do you think that this is just a strange coincidence? The system is designed to get more work for less money out of people. The right wingers and Republicans have done everything possible to make it hard to form a union, and easy for companies to fight workers who want a union.

Well, I do consider myself that I know some, on how the retail industry works, I was a manager at the Target Distribution Center for many years, and most of all discounters and retailers do work in a similar manner.
The bulk of their employees are part timers, only some supervisory and managerial jobs are full time.
at the store level. At the distribution Center, many employees were full time depending on the area that they worked and of course, most of the employees at the corporate level are employed full time.
When I was working there, they paid above not much but above minimum wage, and they offered their employees health care as part of their benefit, If they had to work on holidays they provided them with time and a half, and in the State that I was in, by law they had paid 5 sick days a year.
I am not saying that a person that works typically 20 hours a week is able to support a family, they would need to have more than one job in order to do so.
Walmart. Target, K-Mart Sears, Macy's etc. are not bad employers they don't pay 6 figure salaries unless you are at the Corporate level.
I don't think that demonizing these employers is a good example as to the issue of what is wrong with the ACA.
There are of course many things that will need to be fixed, there are things that will not work out as planned, but i do believe that it will be a lot better than what we have today.
