Michael Johnson (pictured) had two outstanding warrants with local police, but that certainly didn’t stop his criminal activities.
According to WATE, Johnson tried to break into a Knox County business, but was met with resistance by the business owner.
The owner of the business fired three shots from a 12 gauge shotgun, hitting Johnson at least once.
Johnson then fled the scene of the burglary and showed up at his aunt’s house.
The aunt called 911 reporting that her nephew had just shown up to her home suffering from a gunshot wound.
Johnson was treated for non life threatening injuries at an area hospital.
He was then released to police custody is facing charges related to the burglary in addition to his existing warrants.
This is the 31st defensive gun use we’ve reported from the state of Tennessee.
