If I haven't spoken with you personally, welcome to the Group. I hope you enjoy the time you spend with me and the other members.
We have undergone a growth spurt of sorts in the past couple of weeks, which is encouraging to me as the creator and moderator of the group. I formed the group and will moderate (whatever that entails), but I don't want to LEAD the group. We are all adults, with our own interests and experiences when it comes to water gardening, and I'm no expert who wants to direct everything we do.
In that spirit, I would like to make a few suggestions on how to proceed, and issue a challenge. I know many of us have written to each other on occasion, including me. What I'd suggest is if it's about water gardening and might be of interest to all of us, create a NEW TOPIC in the Group Forum as I've done here. Then we can all benefit. Write to each other as often as you like, let's just make the group more active.
I'd also suggest we at least include a basic biography of ourselves in our presonal profiles for the benefit of the other members. Who are you, what do you do, where do you live ..... the usual, especially as it relates to water gardens and ponds. If you don't want to do that, maybe at least a NEW TOPIC with that information included. I've done that with the group's profile and my personal information, but some of you I know almost nothing about, even though I've looked at all your personal profiles.
Finally, I'd like to suggest that no topic is forbidden, as long as it relates in some way to water gardening. Plants, animals, design, construction, maintenance, repairs, and the like are the obvious things that came to me. I'm sure you might be thinking other topics should also be discussed.
Now to the challenge ---- let's get those photos online!! You've all got them, I know you do. Let's share. I've put up a few, and so has Larry. I've got hundreds more, and I'm sure Larry does, too. I want to see some of yours!
Let's get this party started!! Have fun, share, learn, but most of all, enjoy your pond and let us all enjoy it, too!
Until next time....
