In Response to RE: I'm ready to start over, but can't find a good man by nancyKdatingexpert
Nancy, your response is encouraging. Like you, I am a teacher/writer, and these are interests that sometimes require solitude and deadlines. Being that I am semi-retired, I only teach part time, and that limits my work interaction. Although I go out with friends often, I also wonder, where and under what circumstances can you strike up a conversation with a man? I would think being with a few other friends would be intimitading. Also, how do we know if that person is committed? I belong to church and special interest groups, but I haven't met any single men in my age group. I have had some scary online dating experiences. At 65, although I have dated on and off for the last 10 years since I am widowed, I often wonder where are all these men who genuinely want to meet a good woman over 60? I don't want to give up on love!
