In Response to RE: DATING AFTER DIVORCE OR LOSS-WHAT CAN YOU TELL OTHERS? by roxeli
After 25 years of being in a non-functional relationship, I want more. Although I am not agressively seeking Mr. Right, I do get out a lot. That is how I will probably meet him. The chances that I meet someone this way are pretty great I think.
I think your chances are great too, roxeli. I mentioned in another discussion that my sister, who is about to turn 70, got divorced several years ago and met very sweet, kind younger man(now her boyfriend) at the food coop where they both regularly shop and eat (there's a cafe there). They talked, talked, talked and became friends first.
You are not only well-deserving of more than a non-functional relationship. You are super clear about it. That clarity is just great and to my mind, among the most important steps. Getting out a lot...Yay! Like you, I was clear about wanting more than a non-functional relationship. I also believe that one of the best parts(not the only one, but it's right up there) of a good relationship/marriage is being able and wanting to talk to one's partner.
I'm betting on the guy from work....nancy
Any other good stories, folks??????
