In Response to re: Stinky Litterboxes by Montana88
There is reason for that instinctive behavior. For our cats, we are "one of the guys" a weird looking one perhaps but still we are part of the group. I lived with cats since I could walk and I also watched the interaction of groups of feral cats, this is when I noticed that they will do the same for each other. When one of the group has to relieve himself, one or two from the group will drift in the direction of that cat and stay close-by until it is over. It is a protective gesture as a cat in that situation is more vulnerable to attacks.
Since we are "part of the pack" we are granted the same support, as our cats are well aware what toilets are for. If your cat does that, you can be sure that he/she cares for you and you have been adopted. Well done.
