I have been on Evista for years, so think if I were going to have any trouble DVT wise it would have already shown up. I originally started on it as part of a breast cancer prevention trial - it was a study between tamoxifen and relaxofine (sp.?). Anyway, my leg cramps haven't been any worse since I started it and my doctor checks the blood flow to my feet periodically. I am really aware as my younger sister lost her left foot and leg about halfway up to her knee as the result of a blood clot! Back in December/January, I got Reclast - the iv medicine that you just get once a year for osteoporosis. My doc had suggested I stay on the Evista though, just in case it does help to keep you from getting breast cancer, which I have a familial history of - my mother, sister, and 3 aunts have all had it. What would the quarterly injections be for, LeCherie?

For my osteo. The Evista is blamed for my pulmonary and ankle blood clots last fall, so I'm off of it now. From reading on the Osteo website, I believe the quarterly injection is a form of Boniva, which I've not yet tried.
