I just received a letter saying my prescription was written for 7.5 ML of Xalatan for 84 days and they have a limit for me of 2.5 ML of Xalatan for 30 days and I completely do not understand since I have glaucoma and must take the eyedrops every day.
Can someone explain what is happening here? Is it because I did not go with their "Prescription Solutions" mail order and went to the local Costco instead?
I don't know why they would cut your dosage, but I'd call Secure Horizons and find out what's going on. I did look at the 2010 formulary and found that your drops are a tier 3 level. They list lower tier drugs a alternatives in there. Lumigan, Travatan, Travatan-Z. Don't know if this helps at all but good luck. I also take a tier 3 drug and watch it like a hawk for any changes.
