- I am not sure that I understand how the drugs in my Part D plan are grouped. What are the differences in tiers?
Bob has good advice here. It is a shame that you have to do so much each year to get the best plan the following year. There really should be one formulary for all and when an insurer makes changes in a plan as they think they need to ,we should receive notice and a 2 or 3 month period to find and change plans. Hopefully this would not occur yearly.
Now It really is a shame because many people aren't able or don't have help to do the yearly checking so a common practise for insurers is to start low and go high after a year. AARP's "endorsment" must be a real money-maker for United Health Group because so many AARP members ASSUME that must be the best plan for them!
