Does anyone know a magical way in which to assure an agent will actually make an appointment? I've called and given my information to AARP twice and been promised an agent will contact me, to no avail. The second time I called I was told I wasn't in the database even though I had given all my info to the first rep. I spoke to. I want to change insurances before time runs out but AARP doesn't appear interested in signing me up. I'm healthy, no medical problems. It looks as if I'll have to try Anthem or Connecticare. Thanks
Thanks to all for their suggestions. I never did get a call from an AARP agent and since Aetna settled it's problem with the local hospital, and after having checked out 3 other insurance companies, I decided to remain with Aetna. I wanted to speak with an agent because I was confused with some of the info on line. Now I read that Health Net, the insurance company AARP uses, is in trouble with the government so I'm glad I can stick with Aetna at this point. Anthem is way too expensive for me, Connecticare rather restrictive. I hadn't thought of calling an independent agent though and if this happens again will do so. Thanks.
