I can't get an answer from AARP's Medicare Rx Plan (UnitedHealthcare) re the following question and wonder if anyone knows the answer. (A CVS pharmacist says the amounts on their receipts are given to them by the insurance company.)
I have AARP Medicare Rx Preferred and get my prescriptions from CVS. On CVS's blue and white receipt, they show the amount I paid for an Rx ($7, $38, whatever) and above that number, in the same blue box, they show
"Ins: $amount". When I check "My Claims" on my Medicare Part D account online, the amount shown under "Plan has paid" does not coincide with the amount CVS shows Ins. paid. Does anyone know why? (The website shows higher amounts paid by the plan than the CVS receipts.)
Hi there. My suggestion is to call again and keep asking someone until you get an answer: toll free 1-866-255-4835. If you don't want to go through all that and are willing to talk to someone in the offices at AARP, they'll need your information, which you shouldn't put out here in the online community. If you like, message me directly at JLincoln@aarp.org and i'll see what i can do for you on Monday.
