The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) has approached AARP hoping that we assist them in finding interested consumers willing to participatein an 1 hour conference call to provide input into the kind of questions that researchers should ask about dietary supplements as part of some upcoming research through the Effective Health Care Program. One of their Evidence-based Practice Centers (EPCs) is working on the development of a comparative effectiveness review on Dietary Supplements in the Elderly Taking Cardiovascular Drugs. The EPC will be convening a group of key informants by conference call to help clarify and refine key research questions. (Questions that these individuals may raise might be for example: what kind of side effects would these supplements have? What are the benefits? Etc.etc.)
