I have been unemployed for two and a half years with very few interviews. I have been trying to work temp jobs but they have been few and far between and I have not worked at all since last Thanksgiving.
I am a Customer Service/Order Processing Specialist which is a field that New Jersey has no use for. In my interviews I have had interviewers actually tell me that I am too old and too expensive to hire, these companies were promptly reported to the Department of Labor of which I have heard nothing.
At 58, I have given up on finding any kind of permanent work and retirement is just a figment of my imagination now.
