In Response to RE: 2013 Medicare Part B Premium & Deductibles Raised by Chris7715
The one thing the agent should have explained to you is what happens if you do not like the Humana PPO. The government has such complicated rules about when you can go back to regular Medicare and still be eligible for guaranteed issue rights to a Medigap plan. I would ask him that question and also ask him to direct you to the specific language on the Medicare.gov site that addresses that.
I was told, that if I don't like Humana PPO, I have the chance to go to another provider like the one offered by AARP and signed with them. also, I will always sign for a PPO program, I really don't like HMO's I at this time not locked into any Medigap program, no health issues that are serious enough to need a such a program. With my employer I had a Medicare Advantage program and was paying a very high mo. premium I wonder why, if with Humana and most of the Medicare Advantage program don't have a premium .Will try Humana this year and see how it goes.
Also, I think Florida has plans that are good for retirees probably better than other States.
