In Response to RE: Enrollment still growing in Medicare Advantage plans by toddtee
If something is a good deal now, the fact that that deal may not be available later seems irrelevant. Perhaps someone could explain that to me???
If there was a MA plan in my area that was a good deal right now, I would not take advantage of it. As I understand the rules of Medicare and Medigap in my state - once I drop my Medigap policy for the MA plan, I could not get my Medigap policy back (if the MA plan was discontinued at some later time) because I could not pass the health questions for a Medigap plan. Then I would be stuck with original Medicare and the deductible, co insurance, etc, or forced to choose a not so good MA plan if they were still being offered.
