I'm signed up for Medicare A & B and will be eligable to use them come November 2013. I am taking no drugs, my blood pressure is fine, and my health is good apart from needing some expensive dentistry and being a bit overweight. I look forward to being able to afford regular physicals and check-ups etc., and doing preventative stuff, but I can't plan according to my conditions.
I'm trying to figure out whether Medicare D is worthwhile. I find lots of advice for people who are on lots of drugs, but almost nothing for those who are living drug free. Is it worth joining initially to avoid the penalties for joining late?
There must be some other healthy seniors out there on Medicare. What have you found are good strategies?
