I am very suspicious of all insurance plans. I signed up for the auto insurance AARP recommends, it was in fact lower initially but they raised the premium $50.00 every year. It was not long before I was paying much more than other companies charged. I wondered how many seniors just paid it every year not realizing it went up that much annually; the annual increase was in the "fine print."
Peace back at ya! Carol
Seems like a pretty standard practise for insurors to start low and then increase premiums. Humana did exactly that with their D plan this year. The insurors know how difficult it is to check the options avalable between Nov.15 and Dec.31 so they expect most people won't change even if there is a cheaper plan available.
Unfortunately they're right.
