In the past I've been blindsided by expenses that appeared to be covered in full services as described in the annual "Medicare and You" handbook , so I don't want to rely on it completely in anticipating what my share of the costs will be for my upcoming total knee replacement surgery.
I'd like to know if anyone in the group has had this kind of surgery and who, like myself, was covered only by Medicare parts A and B without any other supplemental insurance. And, if so, what were your personal out of pocket expenses?
Can't answer because we have a medigap policy, but maybe a topic like "knee replacement " would get more inf. I'm curious about the cost because my knee is at the point where I'll have to do something.
