I will be very interested in hearing how your coverage worked out.
I'm thinking you have switched from BC/BS to Humana. Is that correct? Was the primary reason to reduce premium costs? Or, maybe I am remembering someone else talking about BC/BS.....?
Do you mind sharing how you chose Humana? [and, it is incredible that the high-deductible plan has higher premiums than the no-deductible plan. That makes no sense at all!]
I have to check! Actually we switched the medigap plan from BC/BS to AARP/UHG primarily bec ause this plan use s location t o set the premium rather than age and the p remium is c onsiderably lower. I still don't have the data on the recent tests costs. We have Humana for Med. D because it was a bit cheaper than the others.
I did have a hassle w ith UHG on the D plan a couple of years ago,but I'm afraid all the insurance co.s ma ke it hard to get reimbursement.
