Don't know where to start, I'm 60 and working and my wife has been on disability for 5 years. We have paid off every thing and I have muscular degeneration in 1 eye and the other eye is getting infected. I had an accident at work a couple of years ago and could get disability if I tried, My question is where do I start in looking at the cost of health ins. And what do I need to at least live on disability with a small income. I'm not the brightest bulb in the pack and need a little help in starting to move us in the right direct can some one help point me to the starting line?
If I read your story correctly you may be eligible for early Medicare benefits.
This would dramatically reduce your costs for insurance next to nothing depending on your financial needs.
We can assist you if you live in the sates of MD DC or VA
If not, someone from social security office can help you if you can get through to them.
Try: your state government office first under early Medicare search topic
Or let us know your zip code for more help.
