A few years back, I worked in a very upbeat office with mostly women and for the better part of the day our feet were under a desk. We dressed in office attire, dress shoes, hose, skirts, jackets, because we worked for the benefits department of a public school. During the day, we had customers come see us about different topics to do with their benefits.
That day was routine, II went to lunch at a local restaurant and walked all over the building copying, faxing, going to different departments, etc. During the day, my friend and co-worker in the cubicle next to me walked over for a visit. I stretched my legs out in front of me and looked down, she looked at the same time I did. We both cracked up laughing. I had on two different shoes and two different colors. The shoes had the same size heel so I didn't notice a difference until I looked down. Instead of getting embarrassed, my friend and I had quite a laugh out of my boo boo. I'm sure others are still talking about that crazy lady in the benefits department. Now when I get ready to go somewhere I turn on the light in the closet and match up the shoes when I dress for the day.
OMG I thought I was the only one IN THE WORLD that did this...I think I have you beat in the embarrasment dept...I got up early and headed for the Doctors office which on its kindest day is a 2 hour wait and a very large room full of people! Not until I went to get out of my car did I notice I had 2 different sandals on AND 2 different styles completely.."HOW IN THE WORLD DID I NOT FEEL THIS WHEN SLIPPING INTO THEM" This is probably my first moment in my age of 44 that I felt "IM LOOSING IT ALREADY" I really had to fight myself to go ahead on and just do it! So my friends, I bit the bullet and and headed in and suprisingly no one even noticed to my knowledge....Hmmmmph guess my feet aren pretty enough to stare at anymore! Laugh-cry or both!!!www.aarp.org/community/editor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/embaressed_smile.gif" />
