I'm glad the Walk of Emmaus gave you peace. My mom went on that (I'm not sure if she did it in Hardin, or at House on the Rock)--was there a Betty in your group? She talked about it a lot, but we didn't see any difference in her behaviour. She died without ever acknowledging the possibliity of her having done something wrong. The note from your mom must have meant a lot. The letters my mom left were full of hate and and intended to provoke guilt. She even picked out the text for the pastor to preach from for her funeral--it was all "if you have wronged me, you will be punished". Even from the grave, she was reaching out to hurt us.
Even with kind words, however belated, a funeral is a sad thing. (((((bertad)))))
There was a Betty on my Walk but I didn't get to know her. What year did your mom go on the Walk to Emmaus? Mine was the spring of 1990.
