Dear Sir or Madame:
We have just received word of a fantastic opportunity to help bring the New York City Veterans Day Parade to a NATIONAL audience, and we need your immediate help!
Early next week (Mon or Tues), we will be meeting with the head of national special events for one of the major TV networks. This meeting will be our best opportunity to springboard the Parade into a truly national event, where we then can get our veterans message of issues facing us, and in helping our military and their family members, and also bring recognition on TV, to those veterans organizations that do so much for our great nation.
At this meeting, it will be VITAL that we demonstrate to this key decision maker that there is interest for the Parade in communities outside New York City and across America. This year's special commemoration of 11/11/11 and the 10th Anniversary of 9/11/2001 provides us with a unique opportunity to establish a national parade as an annual tradition.
YOU can help us by sending us an email, telling us:
1) That you and your group/organization are interested in seeing the Parade aired in your community
2) What can you and your group/organization do to promote the Parade in your community and to your network of contacts.
3) Ideas of how we might highlight your group/community's activities during the Parade TV broadcast.
4) That you are willing to reach out to your local TV stations to help promote the parade.
We will add your emails to the statistics of our nation's 23 million veterans and our military community (demographics, bases, VA hospitals, etc.) and use them to present a compelling case for taking the Parade national!
Please send your emails to the following email addresses:
This is a great opportunity -- and a critical moment -- for our ability to raise public awareness about the issues impacting our Veterans and military and their families! Help us to make sure we give it our best shot!
