I have posted this poem in the Poetry Writers/Readers group, but wanted to share it with this group also, as it relates to the things we talk/write about.
BLESSINGSI’m not a person who thanks God for all that is goodPerhaps you are different and think that I shouldWouldn’t that mean blaming God for all that is badFor that which is empty, for that which I’m sadAnd wouldn’t that require nothing of meBut to sit and wait for blessings patientlyI’m a spiritual person who chooses to danceI choose to love, I choose to laughI choose the stars; I choose moonlightDays sunny or rainy, shooting stars at nightIt’s my choice to sit quietly and waitOr noisily act and choose my fateI believe there’s a power much greater than II believe there are guides standing byI believe there are fairies wearing sacksI believe an angel’s got my backI’ve felt the white light that waits for meAnd then from the ground I’ll be freeBut now I’m here and beckon them allTo live my life fully to my angel I callA Universal Consciousness, an OverSoulChallenges me to a life that’s wholeDivinity loves me and rests withinAnd in a flower and on the wind.
I think this is beautiful, thank you so much for offering it to us to enjoy today!
