Meal-The meal was family style. Two salads were a Caesar salad of romaine lettuce, croutons and shaved parmesan, served with Caesar dressing and Maggiano' Salad, iceberg and romaine lettuce, crumbled bleu cheese, crispy prosciutto and red onions, served with their signature house dressing. This was followed by a dish of Rigatoni pasta, herb-roasted chicken, mushrooms and carmalized onions, tossed in a Marsalla cream sauce; Mom's Lasagna- pasta sheets covered with Ricotta cheese, crumbled meatballs, Italian sausage and marinara, topped with Provolene cheese and meat sauce; Chicken Picata- chicken breasts sauteed with capers and lemon butter cooked in butter and white wine with wilted spinach plus a heaping platter of pork loin. This was followed by a cup of their fresh-roasted coffee. Twas a wonderful meal.
Arlene Brown, the speaker, gave a sparkling talk on the pitfalls of retirement financial planning. Her animated presentation held the audience's attention as she educated those there about this important topic. Her clear explanation on the disadvantages of the fixed index annuity, traps for the unwary, is deserving of praise. Fortunate are those who are invited to attend one of her seminars.
