I had been a very athletic person (runniing, weights, working out, etc.) when last year I ended up having back surgery and then right after that spinal surgery. Without going into the details, I was barely walking after the first back surgery and nobody knew why. Finally, they did an MRI of the thoracic area and found it. Four months ago, I had the surgery and I am now spinning and working out again. I cannot run anymore, but that is OK. I am just happy to be back to doing my exercises and keeping fit again. My right leg had been atrophied from lack of use, but it is now muscular again. Moral of the story: keep fighting when you know something is wrong. I started a blog about all this. If anyone is interested, the address is: Awomanspeaksout.com.
