You win some, you lose some. It was Robert Ryan night at Noir City 9 yesterday. The Woman on the Beach was surprisingly bad, but Beware My Lovely had everyone on the edge of their seats. About 5 minutes in, I realized I'd heard the same story on Suspense some years back and sure enough, it was the same writer.
I posted the original radio play here: http://www.istavisio.com/6/post/2011/01/robert-ryan-night-at-noir-city.html and heartily recommend the movie. Ida Lupino is spectacular and Robert Ryan does nuts like nobody else.
I may be alone in this, but I don't think Sorry, Wrong Number the movie is nearly as good as Sorry, Wrong Number, the radio play. http://www.istavisio.com/6/post/2011/01/how-do-i-love-thee-barbara-stanwyck.html
