deharted, did you ever find an older bird to bring into your home? We lost our Timneh Grey a couple of years ago. He was an important part of our family for 25 years. He grew up with our children pretty much. We have talked about getting another parrot. But I'm not sure how to go about it wisely.
I did look into the rescue organization that is nearest here, I think less than 200 miles. I am sure they are doing their best, but I did not like their rules. So often in rescues not only do you have to agree to a home inspection, but you have to agree that they can come inspect again at a later date. We ARE good, solid, responsible and LOVING pet owners. So, did you get another bird? If so, can you tell us about it? I'd love to hear!
