In 1922, The Girl Scouts printed this sugar cookie recipe for Girl Scouts to make and sell:
You'll need: 1 cp. butter or substitute, 1 cp. sugar, 2 tbl. milk, 2 eggs 1tsp. vanilla, 2 cps. flour, 2 tsp. b. powder..
What to do: Cream butter & sugar together; add well-beaten eggs then milk, flavoring, flour and baking powder. Roll thin and bake in quick oven,( A quick oven would be 375o for 10 min.). Sprinkle sugar on top. This amount makes six to seven dozen.
